Honors America’s Veterans by supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs in an environment that is patient centered with an emphasis on providing quality and safe care. The purpose and mission of the Infection Preventionist nurse is to facilitate comprehensive care and support of mission critical care for Veteran patients, employees, students, contractors and volunteers in residential care and outpatient settings.

Service 

The Infection Control/Infection Prevention department in Patient Care Service provides support for comprehensive consideration of all infection control issues in the facility inclusive of reusable medical equipment (RME), construction concerns re communicable issues such as (but not limited to) asbestos, influenza initiatives, pandemic illness issues, and central office and Center for Disease Control issues.
