Mission/Vision

The mission of the SORCC Clinical Laboratory is to provide high-quality, cost-effective, and responsive comprehensive laboratory services, which meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Service 

Clinical Laboratory covers a wide variety of services essential to physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients:

  1. Key functions of laboratory service include specimen collection and the performance and reporting of diagnostic laboratory tests.
  2. Customers include patients, nurses, providers; multi-clinic medical center and may also include clients from the private sector or other VA hospitals. 
  3. Scope of care and service begins with specimen collection and continues to the time a test is reported.  
  4. Laboratory support functions include:   
  • Ancillary Testing
  • Chemistry and Immunochemistry
  • Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis
  • Microbiology
  • Tech Support, Phlebotomy, Specimen Processing and Test Referrals
