Mission/Vision
To support quality veteran care by providing information to enable veterans, families, and staff to make informed healthcare decisions.
Scope of Service
- Supports the work of all SORCC employees involved in veteran care, research, teaching, and administration by providing knowledge-based informational materials and services.
- Collects and organizes information in the form of books and audiovisuals; also, provides database and Internet access for veterans.
- Provides veteran health education information to veterans and their families through a collection of books, pamphlets and audiovisuals.
- Furnishes recreational materials and support for low-sight veterans including a magnifying and lighted reader.
- Provides bibliographic searches for veterans and staff.
- Circulates audiovisual hardware.
- Provides instruction on the use of the library.
- Maintains a collection of large print books for the visually impaired.
