Mission/Vision

  • Demonstrates personal dedication to high quality customer service in meeting the needs of the veterans and the community.

Scope of Service 

Nutrition and Food Service Consists of a wide variety of staff who are committed to providing extraordinary Nutrition and Foods Services to the Veterans they serve. Nutrition and Food Service staff offer a variety of services that are required to meet the nutritional needs of resident Veterans. This is done by:

  • Providing a cafeteria style meal service three times a day that includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • Providing a sack lunch program to meet the needs of Veterans who are unable to attend meal service for a variety reasons such as participating in the live-in/work-out program, attending classes, job searching, recreational outings, etc.
  • Providing a nourishment program that operates in conjunction with meal service and sack lunch program.
  • Providing a heart healthy menu which provides which follows the basic principles of healthy eating as outlined in the USDA food guide for Americans and is shown through a balance of foods selected from groups defined in the food pyramid.
