Mission/Vision

Honors America’s Veterans by supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs in an environment that is patient centered with an emphasis on providing quality and safe care. The Mission is to facilitate operational excellence through consultative expertise, data collection, analysis and reporting.

Scope of Service 

Quality Management consists of Consultants who are committed to assisting with continuous monitoring to improve the quality of health care service provided by VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics.  Quality Management staff offer services that support evidence-base practices and patient centered care. This is done by:

  • Assisting in identifying quality monitors for an area of practice and provide tools for tracking and monitoring outcomes of care.
  • Monitoring the organization's clinical and non clinical processes and patient care outcomes through data collection, analysis and oversight.
  • Assessing compliance with VHA Directives/Handbooks, Facility policies and Accreditation Standards, report’s findings and provide recommendations.
  • Providing consultative services for solutions and improvements.
  • Tracking, interpreting and reporting performance measures.
  • Interpreting standards, identifying opportunities for improvement, establishing goals, benchmarking with community and other VA systems and evaluating supporting data.
  • Establishing a culture of safety where individuals are able to report concerns that will have a positive impact on Quality Care.
